Sarath goes to police with piracy complaint

Actor-politician R. Sarathkumar and members of the Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council approached the office of the State CBCID in Chennai on Saturday, in connection with video piracy in the State.

The actor’s new film, Sandamarudham , released on Friday.

The members, led by council president S. Thanu and secretary P.L. Thenappan arrived at the CBCID office in Egmore and met police officers attached to the video piracy wing.

They were joined shortly by Sarathkumar and the interaction with the police officers went on for nearly 40 minutes.

Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Sarathkumar said pirated discs of Sandamarudham and other new releases were being circulated throughout the State.
