Forms will also be sold at the 20 government medical colleges and the government dental college in the State. The last date for issue and download of application is June 6 and the last date for submission of the filled forms is June 7. Merit list will be declared on June 17 and the first phase of counselling will be held from June 20 to 25. The second phase of counselling will be held from July 18, according to Director of Medical Education R. Vimala.

To a question on whether the government was anticipating further changes in the seat matrix, the DME said the government had made all arrangements to ensure that the State would continue its usual pattern of admission.

On the possibility of admitting students to the ESIC College in Coimbatore, she said permission had not yet been received for the same.

Dental seats

In the State’s only government dental college, 85 seats will be allocated to State government students and 15 seats would be filled under the All India Quota. The self-financing colleges will surrender 970 seats to the government to be filled through single window counselling.
