Run for awareness on education for children

AID India, an NGO working in the field of education, is organising a 5- km ‘Eureka Run’ along Marina Beach to raise awareness of the problems in quality education for children in rural Tamil Nadu.

The run will be held at 6 a.m. on November 15. The event is also aimed at raising funds for the NGO, which will be used to run after-school and in-school centres, said Selva Ganapathy, a volunteer with AID India.

The NGO is looking for sponsorships for the event.

A group of 50 registrations from corporates/organisations will receive a banner that they can carry on the day.

The registration fee is Rs. 400 for the run.

For college students, there is no registration fee.
