Ruckus outside city hospital

The death of a councillor’s husband resulted in a minor commotion outside a private hospital in Shenoy Nagar on Sunday.

According to the police, councillor Jeevarathinam’s husband Deenadayalan was admitted in the hospital on Sunday evening. A heart patient, he also suffered from blood pressure and sugar-related problems.

A little after his admittance, he collapsed in the hospital bathroom. According to the police, the councillor alleged that the nurses refused to attend to him claiming it was the job of the ward boys. He died a while later.

Following this, there was a commotion outside the hospital. The body was handed over to the family later.
