Dear Sir,

I am staying in Mandaveli, Near Mandaveli bus stand (RK mutt road between Depo&Bus stand)many autos occupied the road and Flat form shops, Auto Drivers all are doing illegal activity in the Flat form playing Cards in day time and splitting Panparaks, apart from that you can find openly taking liquors(lot bottels on behind the trees), many women who stays in "Shanti Glumors" apartment hesitate to out because of this, we feel realy discomfort informed many time to Police but no use, because of rulling party Police are scared about Auto drivers, so to say traffic police standing near by bus stand singal but he will ask anything. Please come and take picture (if we take we will be drouble) and publish, this will really help almost 600 residents in that area. Thanks.

This is a good effort on the part of Hindu to bring to the notice of the
authorities the poor state of affairs of our beautiful city Chennai. If
the paper can also device strategies on how public can participate in
clearing up the mess it would be awesome. Keep it up!

I congratulate the efforts of THE HINDU in restoring footpaths and pavements - which are the only channels for common people to transport themselves in this congested city. Likewise I would request the paper to take up unauthorized parking of private vehicles in main roads and link roads leading to traffic jams and inconvenience to residents. All the best.
