Students of Madras Medical College (MMC) on Thursday participated in a human chain in view of National Voters Day that is on January 25.

Around 500 students from various streams, including MBBS, pharmacy, audiology and speech language pathology, nursing, radio diagnosis technology and radio therapy technology, took part in the human chain, according to a press release.

The event was organised to create awareness among people of the importance of enrolling their names in the electoral list and exercising their franchise in the elections. The students carried placards with messages on the significance of voting.

MMC Dean V. Kanagasabai and faculty members of the college took part in the human chain.
