As part of its recruitment drive for apprentices for the year 2016–17 in Carriage & Wagon Works in Perambur and various units, Southern Railway invites applications of fitters, welders, carpenters, painters, upholsters, mechanics (Motor Vehicle), wiremen, winders (Armature), cable jointers, mechanics (HT, LT equipment & cable jointing), turners, medical laboratory technicians, machinists, electricians, diesel mechanics, refrigeration & AC mechanics, electronics mechanics and those who are programming/system administration assistants.
A press release said candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry are eligible to apply. The candidates shoulod have the qualification of matriculation / ITI and should be between 15 and 24 years of age. Full details are available in the notification onwww. sr.indianrailways.gov.in. The filled-in applications along with processing fee of Rs.100/- (not for SC/ST/PWD/women candidates) should be sent to Workshop Personnel Officer, Carriage & Wagon Works, Perambur, by June 20, the release added.
