A minor fracture on the railway line near Pallavaram station delayed an express train by more than 30 minutes on Wednesday morning. Southern Railway sources said gang-men found the minor fracture on the main line around 8.15 a.m. The Chennai Egmore-Thanjavur-Trichy Express that was about to pass by that stretch was halted at Meenambakkam and was then diverted to the suburban line via a loop line before resuming its journey towards Tambaram. The problem was set right at 10.30 a.m.
