The three-day fair saw builders signing agreements with buyers for 250 units valued at over Rs. 150 crore, said Suresh Krishn, secretary, CREDAI Chennai, on Sunday.
Organised by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (Credai), Chennai at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, the fair received over 70,000 visitors compared to 50,000 visitors during the fifth edition. Last year, the show registered business of Rs. 150 crore.
Talking to The Hindu, Mr. Krishn said, “We received huge response. The builders are likely to report sale of another set of 250 units next week and the value would be known later. The sale price of individual units ranged from Rs. 11 lakh in Oragadam to Rs. 7 crore.”
According to him, about 70 builders showcased over 250 projects ranging from Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 10 crore that were pre-approved by renowned financial institutions with all legal clearances.
To enable prospective buyers to conclude deals with ease, the organisers roped in seven leading financial institutions and conducted loan melas at Sholinganallur and T. Nagar one week in advance. About 1,500 prospective buyers took part in the fair.
