Prince of Arcot slams remarks on Mother Teresa

February 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - CHENNAI:

Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali in a statement on Wednesday termed the comment against Mother Teresa as “unwanted, made by the communal forces to attack a saintly person.” He said Mother Teresa was the epitome of mercy and voice of compassion. He called the attack against her a “needless controversy when the nation is trying for its progress and development” and urged that “the divisive forces should desist from breaking the nation.” He said that forces of pseudo-nationalism, parading themselves as patriots, are mobilising to destroy secularism, communal harmony and national unity.
