IS IT OVER?: Marina without its Sunday look as police enforced the ban.

Police personnel were deployed at the Marina today following the enforcement of ban on playing cricket on service roads in the area.

The move by the Police comes in the wake of youngsters opting to play cricket on the Marina.

According to Police, over 2,000 youths prefer to play cricket on the service roads particularly on Sundays.

However, at a meeting held recently, playing cricket was banned at the Marina as it was posing a hindrance to the flow of traffic on the service roads and also to the visitors of Marina, Police said.

Youngsters who came to Marina in order to play were asked to leave following the ban, they added.
