The Chennai Police on Tuesday sealed a pharmaceutical firm in connection with the case pertaining to the sale of expired drugs.

According to police sources, a special team locked and put a seal on Meena Health Care Centre in Chinmaya Nagar. Tablet strips and syrups with forged expiry dates printed on them were allegedly stocked and circulated to retail outlets from this centre.

One John Basha wanted by police in the case was arrested.

Two accused persons Ravi and Venkat surrendered in a city court on Tuesday.

They would be taken into custody for interrogation, Joint Commissioner of Police (North) S.N. Seshasai said.
