From buying books on the sly to a celebrated author: Perumal Murugan

Writer Perumal Murugan will launch his latest anthology The Goat Thief at an event organised by The Hindu Lit for Life on November 2 at the Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium, Chennai.

The book will be released by T. M. Krishna, who will also be in conversation with the author. The stories are set in the rich landscapes of rural Tamil Nadu and reflect everyday lives.

The Goat Thief , published by Juggernaut, is a collection of 10 stories selected by Perumal Murugan from the approximately 80 stories written by him over three decades. N Kalyan Raman, who has translated some of the finest Tamil writers, has translated The Goat Thief .
