Passenger of train detained at airport

A 24-year-old youth from Guwahati was detained and interrogated by authorities at Chennai airport on Thursday.

According to airport sources, the youth, Mohammed Hussain, had reached the city on Thursday morning on the Bangalore–Guwahati Express.

After the bombs exploded, he had left the station, reached the airport and got airline tickets to proceed to Guwahati.

The CISF personnel on duty at the airport, and later the local police, interrogated Mr. Hussain to ascertain what made him go to the airport and plan to take an evening flight.

After being interrogated for a few hours, he was allowed to take the flight to Guwahati.
