Pallavaram all set for e-governance

Pallavaram Municipality is all set to move into e-governance mode soon.

Director of Municipal Administration, G. Prakash on Monday had a discussion with municipal officials and staff on their preparedness to implement Centralised E-Governance through web portal, on Monday.

Mr. Prakash discussed the progress of the Centralised e-Governance web application software and instructed staff to commence the service providing mechanisms.

The project envisages web-based applications and interface with geographical information system.

Modules are being developed for functions of local bodies including receipt of property tax, water supply, issuing certificates, and building permission.

The objective is to improve service delivery, municipal chairman K. S. R. Nissar Ahmed said.
