Palam Silks unveils concept saris

Sri Palam Silks hosted the fourth edition of ‘Silkline 13,’ an annual fashion extravaganza, showcasing over 40 pure silk saris besides its latest concept saris. In the three-hour event, the latest concept saris, Freestyle Fusion Silk and Flip Style Fusion Silk, were unveiled.

In Freestyle Fusion Silk, the sari can also be worn as a ghagra or a churidhar and in Flip Style Fusion Silk, the front and back of the sari has two contrast colours. These two new concepts add to Palam’s new line of 2012 concepts which already include Ultralite Fusion Silk and Slim Fit Silk.

Designer silks, casual silks and wedding silks were also unveiled. Actor Parvathy Omanakuttan was the showstopper.

Jeyasree Ravi of Sri Palam Silks said, “This show is definitely a reflection of our best efforts at sourcing high quality and pure handloom zari silk saris.”

On the occasion, ‘Silkline,’ a bi-annual magazine of the silk brand, was released.
