Over 900 posts to be created in medical colleges

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has ordered for the creation of 969 various posts in ESIC medical college and Government Medical Colleges in Coimbatore and Pudukkottai.

The creation of posts in these institutions would cost the exchequer a total sum of Rs. 48.55 crore annually, an official release stated.

While 808 posts, including Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, nurses, para-medical employees would be created in ESIC Medical College and Government Medical College in Coimbatore, 161 similar posts would be created in the Government Medical College at Pudukkottai.
