First three State ranks in statistics are from Sri Ahobila Mutt Oriental Higher Secondary School

Having bagged the first three State ranks in statistics in the Class XII examination — T.N. Vaishali, V. Yuvaraj and V. Srinivasan — have made their school — Sri Ahobila Mutt Oriental Higher Secondary School — proud. All three of them have scored centum in statistics and 198 in Sanskrit.

Vaishali, who came first with a total of 1,182, got centum in mathematics, physics and chemistry. “I want to do BE ECE or EEE. My brother is doing EEE so I too want to take up that. It sounds easy,” said the proud student. Apart from academics, Vaishali likes to play shuttle.

The statistics topper, who completed her Class X from Velankanni School in Ashok Nagar with Tamil as second language, said that she found Sanskrit quite easy. “Our teachers were very good and made us understand the underlying concept in an easy manner,” she said.

V. Yuvaraj and V. Srinivasan, who were classmates in Narayansa Mission up to Class X, said that their totals were unexpected. “We had done well but we were afraid of the correction procedures,” they chorused.

While the friends who also play cricket together want to take up the same course — BE ECE —Srinivasan wants to join the Navy and Yuvaraj has not yet chartered out his future plans.

Srinivasan, who had studied Hindi till Class X, said that he found Sanskrit easy and understood it quite well.
