The online registration for single window counselling for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission for the academic year 2018-19 will commence on May 3.

A notification to this effect will be issued by TNEA on April 29, Higher Education Minister K.P. Anbalagan said on Monday.

Applications can be downloaded till May 30.

Candidates may download and print a filled-in copy of the application form, which they will have to bring along with their original certificates for verification.

The TNEA has created 42 facilitation centres (TFC) across 32 districts and all candidates must approach the centres for verification of their original certificates and relevant documents, which will be taken up in June first week.

The TNEA has advised applicants to fill the specially designed data sheet which can be printed from the portal or from the TFCs prior to accessing the portal to ensure accurate data submission.

Officials to be deputed

Applicants can approach the TFCs for registering and printing applications or during counselling phase to enter their choice of course and college. Mr. Anbalagan said two officials from Anna University will be deputed to each centre who will oversee the entire operation during the counselling process.

Special category counselling such as for sports persons and wards of exservice persons and those will disability will be held in Anna University, after the online process is completed.

The government has prepared a booklet which will be made available at the TFCs, giving the details of the entire online process.

Verification process

TNEA has allotted a week for verification of original certificates.

“If a student is unable to make it to the centre, a parent or sibling could also come with the relevant documents for verification,” the minister said.

If candidates are unable to complete the process within the week then they may come to Anna University with their originals for verification.
