Commuters of Chennai Metro Rail who don’t have the app can seek assistance from the personnel at the kiosk to book a cab.

As soon as the staff books a cab, the nearest vehicle in the vicinity will arrive at the designated station. The Uber kiosks will be available at the following stations: Alandur, Vadapalani, Thirumangalam, Kilpauk, Ekkattuthangal, Ashok Nagar, CMBT, Anna Nagar Tower, Guindy, Koyambedu, Nehru Park and St. Thomas Mount.

It will soon be expanded to the other stations.

Sources said, soon the services will be available throughout the Metro Rail’s service timings. Arjun Srinivasan of Uber – Chennai, said, by complementing public transit, they bridge the first and last-mile connectivity gaps, making the existing infrastructure accessible to commuters.
