Offices to be built for employment exchanges

32 of the 37 district employment exchanges in the State are functioning from rented buildings

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Sunday ordered release of Rs 15 crore for constructing offices for employment exchanges in Nagapattinam, Nagercoil, Pudukottai, Virudhunagar, Erode, Ariyalur, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Karur and Namakkal districts in the first phase.

Each office to cost Rs. 1.50 crore

A State government press release said each office would be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore.

The new buildings would create adequate infrastructure as the number of persons registering with employment exchanges was increasing.

There are 37 district employment exchanges in the State.

32 of these exchanges are functioning from rented buildings.
