Low-tension consumers of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) can hereafter pay their electricity bills at any of the post offices designated by the postal department in the State.

A press release issued by the Tamil Nadu Postal Circle states that consumers can now pay their bills at the identified post offices by producing the electricity card, and a receipt would be issued.

A nominal service amount would be charged on the bill amount. A total of 2,580 post offices across the State have been identified for the service.
