No respite in sight from heat

Temperatures may have dropped a bit on Friday, but residents continued to feel the impact of summer in the city.

While Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 36.2 degree Celsius, Meenambakkam recorded 37.4 degree Celsius. This was lower than Thursday’s temperatures in Nungambakkam (36.7 degree Celsius) and Meenambakkam (39.2 degree Celsius).

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is likely to be 37 degree Celsius in the city on Saturday. The interior parts of the State are likely to experience heat wave conditions.

The night temperature is likely to be around 29 degree Celsius in the city.
