New deputy director for NCC Directorate

Commodore Vijesh Kumar Garg has taken over as the deputy director general of NCC Directorate Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman, Nicobar.

He replaced Commodore K.S. Aiyappa who has gone on superannuation.

Commodore Vijesh Kumar Garg was an ex-NCC cadet and a graduate from IIT-Roorkee. He was commissioned in Indian Navy in 1984 in the Executive Branch.

He was a naval aviator and an anti-submarine warfare specialist, a release from the NCC said.

The Directorate has cadets from schools and colleges on its rolls and stood first in the All India Vayu Sainik Camp for the third time.
