As part of the exercise to put into the practice the motto, ‘Catch’em Young,’ the Nellai Friends Volleyball Club has started a training programme for boys and girls at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium.
Mr. Rajkumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Department inaugurated the camp. W.I. Dawaran, President, Nellai Friends, presided over the function. Around 20 girls participated in the inaugural session. International players and coaches like A. K. Chitrapandian, P. Jagathesan, Muruganandam and Srikesavan are imparting the lessons to the participants.
