Minister for cooperation Sellur K. Raju on Wednesday inaugurated modern classrooms at the Natesan Institute of Cooperative Management, Chennai at a cost of Rs. 46.35 lakh.
The Institute at Anna Nagar, which was started in 1979, provides training to newly-recruited deputy registrars and senior inspectors of Cooperatives.
It also offers training to functional registrars of various cooperatives including Cooptex and the Sugar Federation.
After the training, personnel are awarded a higher diploma in cooperative management certificate by the National Cooperative Union of India.
