N. Ram and IGCAR chief to get honorary doctorate

Vels University will award honorary doctorate to Baldev Raj, Director, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), at its first convocation on October 25.

Apart from him, the university's board of management unanimously decided to award honorary doctorates to N. Ram, Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu, and Krishnamachari Srikanth, chairman of the selection committee, BCCI.

Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will be the chief guest and will deliver the convocation address. Around 400 post graduates will receive degrees, stated a university release.
