A third year architecture student of a private university died in a road accident here on Sunday night.
According to police sources, S. Giridharan (20) of Saligramam and his friend A. Siva Sakthivel (20) of the same college were going towards T. Nagar on a motorcycle around 11.40 p.m. when a speeding lorry knocked them down near Nandanam. While Giridharan succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, Sakthivel was admitted to the Government General Hospital where his condition was said to be stable. The Guindy Traffic Investigation police have registered a case.
