August 20, 2013 08:22 am | Updated November 16, 2021 09:27 pm IST - CHENNAI:

In the third such incident at Chennai airport, a few false ceiling panels at the old international terminal caved in on Monday. Around 5 p.m., a few panels that covered about five feet near the water cooler at the departure area of the terminal fell, said sources. “The panels fell because they had become damp due to water leakage. No one was injured,” said an Airports Authority of India official.

On August 11, 23 false ceiling panels at the new international terminal had collapsed. Repair work is on.
