The Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has established area offices in the newly added Chennai Corporation zones of Tiruvottiyur, Manali, Madhavaram, Ambattur, Valasaravakkam, Alandur, Perungudi and Sholinganallur.
A press release said that four Superintending Engineer-level officers would monitor the functioning of the new offices.
At the area level, the team would be headed by an Executive Engineer.
The Executive Engineers would be in charge of redressing the complaints of residents regarding the water and sewer network.
Helpline
The helpline (45674567) at the Metrowater headoffice in Chintadripet would serve as a common helpline for the expanded city.
