A free medical camp was held on Nov. 11 at Our Lady of Guidance Church, R.A. Puram, by the Society of St.Vincent De Paul. Dr. V. D. G.Chandran, E.N.T. Senior consultant and Dr.Jeeva Jerome, General physician treated children for tonsillitis, anaemia, sinusitis and dermatitis. More than 100 patients were diagnosed for various ailments.
Dr. N. John Nesan, dental surgeon, treated children and adults for dental caries and advised some about the need for necessary orthodontic treatment.
Balaji, owner of Blue Bird Opticals, Mylapore, brought in opticians _ M. Kamalanathan, S. Gopinathan of Raja Eye Care and Amul Udi Eye Care Hospital to examine the eyes of children of nearby areas.
