Manmohan leaves for Delhi after two-day visit to Chennai

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today left for Delhi by a special aircraft after a two-day visit to the city, airport sources said.

The Prime Minister had arrived here last night. During his brief stay at the Raj Bhavan, Dr. Singh met Chief Minister M Karunanidhi this morning and had elaborate discussions.

After meeting the DMK President, Dr. Singh left for SRM University in suburban Kattankulathur near here to inaugurate the 98th edition of the annual Indian Science Congress.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, senior DMK Leaders, Ministers and Congress party functionaries including TNCC President K V Thankgabalu were present at the airport to see him off.
