Man slips to death from MTC bus in Chennai

A 39-year-old man slipped and fell to death from a Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus, in Velachery, on Saturday night.

According to the traffic police, Mani Narayanan, employed in a private company, was travelling on the footboard of a bus on route A51, and waiting to get down at Dhandeeswaran Temple bus stop, when he slipped and fell on the road.

He sustained critical head injuries and died on the way to hospital. The bus driver, Naasan (36), was arrested, said the Guindy traffic police (investigation).
