A 33-year-old man was killed after a speeding lorry knocked him down on Poonamallee High Road on Saturday.
Anna Nagar police identified the deceased as Lenin of Aparna Gardens, Shenoy Nagar, who was working as office assistant with the Sales Tax Department here.
The accident occurred around 11.15 p.m.
The lorry, which remains unidentified, hit him while he was walking along the road. He died on the spot, the police said.
