March 11, 2010 01:44 am | Updated November 17, 2021 07:06 am IST - CHENNAI:

The Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam on Wednesday urged the Centre to make public the report of the Survey of India on the alleged land grabbing by the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, P.D. Dinakaran, and his family members in Kaverirajapuram village.

A three-member team of the Survey of India, assigned with the task of mapping Kaverirajapuram, has submitted its report to the Centre. The report has essentially confirmed the finding of the Tiruvallur Collector that Mr. Justice Dinakaran and his family had encroached upon 199.53 acres.

In a statement here, Sangam general secretary P. Shanmugam said the government should immediately take over the lands.
