Studio Palazzo, an art gallery, and Madras Naturalist Society will present a photo exhibition on Wildlife in and around Chennai from August 19 to 26 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the premises of the gallery. There will be slide shows on insects and spiders, woodland birds and wetland birds. The gallery is at No: 7, Seethamma Road, First Floor, Alwarpet.

Ilango’s Artspace Private Limited, Harrington Road, Chetpet, will conduct a drawing competition on August 25 between 3 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. at Art and Soul, East Coast Road, Akkarai. The theme is ‘My Dream East Coast Road.’ Students aged seven to 14 can participate. Chart will be provided by the organisers. Participants should bring materials such as pencil, eraser and colours. The second edition of the Murugappa Madras Quotient Quiz will be conducted on September 1 in Chennai, and will be anchored by quizmaster Dr. Navin Jayakumar. Aimed at school students from Classes V to XII, this quiz will have a written preliminary round followed by a grand finale, with prizes worth more than Rs. 1 lakh to be won. There will also be audience rounds for the general public to participate and win prizes.

Elaborating on the format of the quiz for this year, Mr. Jayakumar said that this year will also have a written preliminary round followed by the grand finale.

The finals will comprise three sections, ‘Madras Past’, ‘Madras Present’ and ‘Madras Forever’.
