A lecturer working at a private engineering college slipped and fell to his death from the terrace of his home in Chitlapakkam on Wednesday night. His body was found early on Thursday morning.

A native of Salem, N. Selvakumar (29) was staying in a rented house along with a friend. On Wednesday night, the two spent time on the terrace and while his friend returned to their ground-floor apartment, Selvakumar stayed on, working on his laptop.

When his flatmate did not find Selvakumar in his room on Thursday morning, he went to the terrace, where the laptop was intact. He searched for Selvakumar and found him lying in a pool of blood on the ground floor. Chitlapakkam police said Selvakumar had probably sat on the parapet wall and is suspected to have slipped and fallen.
