Law University adds 2 new courses

The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University has added two new courses in the undergraduate programme in its School of Excellence this academic year.

As many as 340 seats have been added to the existing 660 seats in various programmes in the School, said University Vice Chancellor P. Vanangamudi.

A total of 1,052 seats in the five-year BA LLB programme and 1,262 seats in the three-year LLB programme are available in the affiliated government law colleges.

Students from any stream can join the Bachelor’s in Business Administration LLB (Honours) and the Bachelor’s in Computer Application LLB (honours) programmes. The University has also introduced two programmes under the distance education mode in its postgraduate segment – LLM and MLC.

Sale of application forms for the honours programmes will commence on May 8. The last date for issue and submission is June 5. The rank list will be published on June 12. Forms for the five-year BA LLB programme affiliated to government law colleges will be issued from May 14 and the last date for submission is June 12. The rank list will be published on June 26.

For LLB (honours), LLM and MCL, forms will be issued from May 25 and the last date for submission is August 28. The rank list will be published on July 10 for LLB (honours) and September 9 for the other courses. For three-year LLB courses affiliated to government law colleges, forms will be issued from May 25 and the last date for submission is July 17. The rank list will be published on July 31.

Application fee for general category is Rs. 1,000 for honours courses and Rs. 500 for PG courses and programmes affiliated to government law colleges. For SC/ST category it is priced Rs. 500 and Rs. 250. Persons opting to get the forms by post must pay Rs. 100 extra.
