Law college students clash

February 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - CHENNAI:

A group of students from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College clashed inside their college on Wednesday morning. The clash was a fallout of an altercation between a fourth-year and a final-year student. Six students were injured and were admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.

Police said the clash broke out around 11.30 a.m., after a few fourth-year students argued with a final-year student for trying to speak to a woman student of their batch. Both groups then attacked each other with stones and sticks. One of the students even ran towards the other group with a big knife. Following a complaint lodged by a student, Esplanade police are investigating.

The hospitalised students are Hari, Abdullah, Boopalan, Dilip, Karthik and Sabari.
