Kolu craft fair

A Navaratri Kolu craft fair is being conducted at No. 4, J.J. Community Hall, 4, Kamajar Salai, R.A. Puram, (opposite Sumangali Jewellers).

As many as 30 artisans from different States are displaying their products. The exhibition is aimed at popularising traditional handicrafts. The different Kolu items on display include terracotta idols from Karnataka and West Bengal, papier-mache dolls, Channapatna, Kondapalli, Atkuppam toys, brass, black metal, radium, marble and others items.

A special handicrafts and handlooms mela is also on at the hall. The exhibition will go on till October 15 and is open on all days (including Sundays) from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. A discount of 20 per cent is available on handlooms and 10 per cent on handicrafts.
