A 25-year-old man was knocked down by a lorry on Poonamallee High Road on Thursday morning. According to the Koyambedu Traffic Investigation police, Swami Aiyyappan (25) was proceeding on his two-wheeler from Poonamallee towards Koyambedu.
The lorry, which was being driven rashly, knocked him down near near Alapakkam junction and he died on the spot. The police are investigating.
