Kasuri meets Prince of Arcot

Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, who is on a brief visit to Chennai, met the Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali at his residence Amir Mahal on Tuesday.

The dignitary, who was accompanied by his wife, evinced keen interest in the political history of the Carnatic under the Nawabs during the 17th and 18th centuries, especially their religious policies towards non-Muslims.

Mr. Kasuri also invited the Nawab to Pakistan for a goodwill visit that would promote socio-cultural ties between the countries.
