“Make the signboards very clear and place them at convenient points so that visitors have no difficulty.” This was one of the most important suggestions from Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi after he inspected the Anna Centenary Library at Kottupuram on Tuesday. He will formally inaugurate it on Wednesday.

According to officials of the Directorate of Public Libraries, the Chief Minister spent about half an hour inspecting the ground, first and second floor of the library.

He also went to the auditorium and the conference hall. He is said to have been very impressed with the automation systems at the facility.

He also spent a few minutes taking a look at the paintings of leaders adorning the library.

A senior official said the Chief Minister was particularly interested in the children's section and pleased with how it had come out.

Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy, School Education Minister Thangam Thennarasu and senior officials of the Public Works Department and Directorate of Public Libraries were present.
