After quite a while, Kamal Haasan is back in the news for his films.

The actor, who had recently spoken to a Tamil magazine on his next project, said he would start work on Thalaivan Irukkiraan after the completion and release of his current projects.

Mr. Haasan registered the title nearly four years ago and the project was announced in 2015 as a Tamil-Hindi bilingual with the Hindi version titled Amar Hai .

While he is planning to release Vishwaroopam 2 — the sequel to his 2013 film — this year, he is also expected to continue work on Sabhash Naidu, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, which has been on hold for the past few months.
