A journalist lodged a complaint with the Mylapore police alleging that a Sub-Inspector and a Head Constable attached to the crime investigation at the Mylapore police station manhandled him when he went to question the seizure of a two-wheleer of an office staff.

In the complaint, E. Madhankumar, a reporter of Dinakaran, alleged that he went to the station after the vehicle owned by Vignesh, a staff member of the organisation, was seized. When Mr. Madhankumar was trying to find out the reason for the incident, the policemen allegedly abused and manhandled him.

Other police personnel attached to Law and Order came to the rescue of Mr. Madhankumar. He lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mylapore, demanding action against the police personnel.
