Shiela, the second daughter of the late educationist, Jeppiar, on Thursday lodged a complaint with Police Commissioner seeking protection to live peacefully on the campus of Sathyabama University established by her father.

In a representation, she said that her estranged husband was looking after the management of St. Joseph’s College. After the death of her father, her mother Remy took over as managing trustee of Jeppiar Educational Trust. Remy had promised to create a new educational institute which Shiela could run and asked her to resign as the permanent trustee of the Trust. However, she had failed to keep her promise. When Shiela asked her for her share, Remy did not respond positively.

Shiela alleged that after the first death anniversary of Jeppiar, she was kept under house arrest and denied basic amenities. No one was allowed to visit her. She was later asked to vacate the house located on the campus.

Shiela alleged that the family had hatched a conspiracy and expelled her.
