Jaya TV producer arrested

A Jaya TV program producer who allegedly harassed well-known television presenter ‘Pepsi’ Uma was arrested by the Guindy police on Friday.

The police said Saravanaraj (42) is a senior producer with the channel and was part of the team for a celebrity talk show hosted by ‘Pepsi’ Uma alias Uma Maheswari (40). Uma lodged a complaint with the Guindy All Woman Police Station, stating that Saravanaraj had repeatedly harassed her at work. Following a probe, the police arrested Saravanaraj on Friday night. He was booked under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and remanded to custody,
