Jackal rescued in Perambur

A three-year-old Indian jackal was rescued by wildlife officials in Perambur on Saturday.

According to wildlife authorities, they went to the area in search of the animal following complaints from the residents. The jackal was rescued using a trap.

Soon to be released

The animal has been housed at Wildlife head quarters premises in Velachery. After a couple of days, it would be released into a reserved forest area, said a wildlife authority.
