Intercollegiate scrabble tournament on October 30

iGATE, an integrated Technology and Operations (iTOPS) solutions provider, will organise an intercollegiate scrabble tournament in the city.

The preliminary round is restricted to two members per team and to two teams per college and will take place October 30, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at iGATE's facility at DLF IT Park, Manapakkam.

The last date for registration is October 24. Entry to the contest is free.

The winners of the iGATE intercollegiate tournament in Bangalore and Hyderabad will compete with the Chennai finalists in the intercollegiate grand finale that will take place alongside the annual iGATE International Scrabble Tournament scheduled to be held in Bangalore in January 2011.

The top six colleges will vie for the total prize money of Rs.1.5 lakh.
