Initiative seeks to popularise Thirukkural

With an aim to enhance the reach of Tirukkural, UV Foundation has launched ‘ Ullamthorum Valluvam ’, an initiative to spread the teachings of Tiruvalluvar .

Swami Omkarananda, after launching it, said the idea of such an initiative had been in his mind for over a decade. “I had a desire to read the Tirukkural even when I was a child. Later, I was able to elaborate on it and present it to people,” he said.

As part of this initiative, those interested can register on a WhatsApp number (8111011118) after which they will receive a five minute video on Swami Omakarananda’s explanations of the verses. The foundation aims at reaching out to at least one lakh people through the attempt.

A book titled ‘ Vaan Sirappu ’ was releasedon the occasion by Swami Omkarananda.
